Is there a Kimi K3.1 Pro API?

Moonshot AI announced Kimi K3.1 Pro without a public API. At launch there was nothing to call, from Moonshot or from any other provider, and no weights for anyone else to serve.

Why no provider has it

A provider can only serve a model in one of two ways: run the published weights, or resell the maker's own API. At launch Kimi K3.1 Pro had neither (checked 24 October 2026). A page that offers Kimi K3.1 Pro access today is selling some other model under its name.

When it arrives

Moonshot has said the weights will be published. Kimi K3 followed the same path and came out with open weights eleven days after it was announced, after which hosts could serve it. If Kimi K3.1 Pro does the same, an uncensored build can follow, and once one passes a tool-calling test it gets added to the Wild West API line under its own model id.

Calling an uncensored model today

Code written for the OpenAI SDK points at Slingshooter (glm-5.3-outlaw) by changing the base URL and the model id:

Anthropic clients, Claude Code among them, use https://wildwestapi.com with the same key. When a Kimi K3.1 Pro build joins the line, switching is a change of model id.
