Wild West API

Use it from your stack.

The OpenAI and Anthropic SDKs, LangChain, LlamaIndex, LiteLLM, Aider, Claude Code and more, set up against Wild West API with the real config fields and the one limitation each has.

OpenAI Python SDKThe official openai package talks to any server that speaks the Chat Completions format. Change the base URL and key and the rest of your code stays as it is. OpenAI Node SDKThe openai package for Node and TypeScript accepts a baseURL option, so pointing it at Wild West is a two-field change. Run it on a server or in a script, not in browser code. Anthropic Python SDKWild West also answers in the Anthropic Messages format at /v1/messages. The anthropic package can talk to it if you override the base URL, which is useful when your code already uses Anthropic message and tool shapes. LangChainLangChain's ChatOpenAI class accepts a base_url, so it can drive any OpenAI-compatible server. That gives you chains, agents and LangGraph on top of an uncensored model, with no change to how you write the rest of the app. Everything below runs from a server or a script. LlamaIndexLlamaIndex ships a separate class for third-party OpenAI-style servers, OpenAILike. The plain OpenAI class checks model names against OpenAI's list, which is why you need this one. LiteLLMLiteLLM routes by model prefix. For an OpenAI-compatible server like Wild West the prefix is openai/, and the server address goes in api_base. Vercel AI SDKThe AI SDK talks to OpenAI-style servers through the @ai-sdk/openai-compatible package. You build a provider once, then hand its models to generateText, streamText and the rest. AiderAider is a terminal pair programmer that edits files in your git repo. It reaches OpenAI-compatible servers through LiteLLM, so the setup is two environment variables and a model name with the openai/ prefix. ContinueContinue is an open source coding assistant for VS Code and JetBrains. Models live in a config.yaml file, and its openai provider takes an apiBase so it can use any compatible server. ClineCline is an autonomous coding agent for VS Code. It has a provider type called OpenAI Compatible, which is made for servers like this one. Everything is set in the settings panel, so there is no file to edit. opencodeopencode is a terminal coding agent. It treats any OpenAI-compatible server as a custom provider that you declare in opencode.json, and it runs the request through the AI SDK's compatible package. Claude CodeClaude Code can be pointed at any gateway that serves the Anthropic Messages format, and Wild West serves it at /v1/messages. Read the limitation section first: Anthropic does not support this use. n8nn8n runs on a server, so its nodes can call the Wild West API without browser limits. The Base URL is a field on the OpenAI credential, and the OpenAI Chat Model node then uses that credential. Open InterpreterOpen Interpreter is now a Rust program based on Codex, with a TOML config, not the older Python package that used LiteLLM. This page covers the new one. Custom providers are declared in config.toml.
