Run Use Wild West API in Cline (VS Code)
Cline has a built-in OpenAI Compatible provider. Point it at Wild West API's /v1 base URL, paste your key, and enter a model id.

Select the OpenAI Compatible provider
Open the Cline settings (the gear icon) and set:
- API Provider: OpenAI Compatible
- Base URL: https://wildwestapi.com/v1
- API Key: your sk-ww-... key
- Model: a model id such as outlaw-1-xploded
Under Model Configuration, set the real Context Window and Max Output Tokens from the model's catalogue page, and enable Computer Use only for a model that supports tool calling.
Agents need tool calling Cline edits files and runs commands through function calls. A model without tool-calling support will chat but cannot act. Check the model page before you pick one.
