Run Use Wild West API in Roo Code
Roo Code has an OpenAI Compatible provider and uses native tool calling exclusively, so the model you choose must support OpenAI-style function calling.

Configure the OpenAI Compatible provider
In the Roo Code settings panel:
- API Provider: OpenAI Compatible
- Base URL: https://wildwestapi.com/v1
- API Key: your key
- Model: a tool-capable id, for example outlaw-1-xploded
Set the Context Window and Max Output Tokens under Model Configuration to the catalogue values.
Native tool calling is mandatory Roo Code's docs state that a model without native tool-calling support cannot be used at all. There is no XML fallback. Choose a model the catalogue marks as tool-capable.
